Under the leadership of Asia Public Key Infrastructure Consortium (APKIC) Chairperson Eva Chan, Founder and CEO of Certizen Technology, APKIC has officially signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Philippines Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Henry Aguda. This collaboration aligns with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s digital transformation vision, addressing the need for remote document signing and advancing secure cross-border digital transactions. The agreement marks a significant milestone in the development of Asia's cross-border digital trust ecosystem, demonstrating APKIC's leadership in expanding trusted digital identity frameworks across the region.

As APKIC's core technical partner, Certizen Technology will leverage its expertise in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), verifiable Legal Entity Identifiers (vLEI), and digital signatures to provide globally compliant secure authentication services, delivering robust technical support for this initiative. Certizen's Cross-Border Digital Identity Authentication System, already deployed in Greater Bay Area e-commerce and healthcare scenarios for instant identity verification, will be further optimized to enable users to complete legally binding remote signing using APKIC-certified digital signatures, eliminating administrative barriers in cross-border transactions.

Eva Chan stated, "Certizen's experience in cross-border identity verification from the Greater Bay Area can now be extended to serve Asia's trusted digital identity framework. By integrating internationally recognized technologies, we ensure not only the authenticity of signers but also full traceability in document verification—critical for protecting the legal rights of users worldwide." Notably, as one of the world's first vLEI-licensed issuers, Certizen will provide verifiable digital identity credentials for Philippine enterprises, accelerating their integration into Asia's digital trade network.

Looking ahead, Certizen will continue leveraging APKIC as a platform to promote unified digital trust standards across Asian economies. This MOU represents not only a pivotal milestone for APKIC but also another benchmark in Certizen's "Technology-Driven Trust" strategy. With the gradual deployment of Certizen's digital identity solutions in Southeast Asia, the region is poised to become a global innovation hub for digital trust systems.
