On 30 August 2016, Hong Kong Public Key Infrastructure Forum Limited 2016 Annual General Meeting was successfully held in Innovation Center. The meeting was designated to summarizing the work and achievements on PKI technology promotion and business adoption done by the Forum in the past year. The meeting had censored and passed the Chairman’s report, financial updates and membership fee payment status. Selected by the meeting, Prof Alfred Loo from Lingnan University succeeded Mr. Philip Leung from Chinese University of Hong Kong as the Chairman of Hong Kong PKI Forum for the next term as of the same date. In the Chairman’s report, Mr. Philip Leung fully affirmed the efforts and achievements done by HKPKIF over the past year. As one of the members of Asia PKI Consortium, HKPKIF collaborated with Asia PKI Consortium to organize the PKI Conference 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 9-10 July 2015. HKPKIF helped with organizating 2016 Asia PKI Consortium Special Steering Committee Meeting & IOWG International Symposium – Smart City & Smart Identity under Belt and Road Initiative: Innovative Progress in PKI and Authentication on 6-7 July, 2016. HKPKIF strived efforts in supporting TDC’s activities of promotion trade of Hong Kong. HKPKIF co-organized a seminar themed “Belt and Road: New Opportunities for Cross Border e-Commerce” for “InStyle HK” in Chengdu, Sichuan from 12-13 May 2016. In order to build Hong Kong as a Smart City, HKPKIF carried out more cooperation with industry partners such as the Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong (CMA), Smart City Consortium to make use of information technology to, on one hand, raise efficiency in the economic and social life, on the other hand, provide more secure cyber environment. |
